Process of Production

Metallic yarn
1. Coating process : Aluminum metalized PET(polyester) film is lacquered with protective epoxy resin to keep a shinny looking metalized surface. in case of Gold and colors, appropriate quantity of metal complex dyestuffs are mixed with Resin measured by an accurate electronic scale. Our most concern, tension control, starts at this process. Our machine is equipped with fully automatic tension control, temperature control and web guide devices.



2. Wide cutting / Pancake process : Protective lacquered film is cut into 2" to 5" wide pancakes. Our machine is equipped with fully automatic tension control, web guide and oiling devices.


3. Micro slitting & winding process : Wide cut pancake roll is being slit into various sizes while film passes through a cutting head and being wound on spools (Max. 450pcs of spools). This process requires intensive tension control. Our machine is equipped with fully automatic tension control and oiling devices. Moreover our Korean technician is highly skilled for more than 30 years to control slitting tension.

4. (1) Single / Double covering process : M-type metallic yarn is covered/ twisted/supported with 20D PA-6, 2ends at 280TPM +/-. TPM is regularly checked with Stroboscope.

(2) Single Covering process : Viscose rayon, or Polyester yarn is single covered with M-type metallic yarn.


5. Vacuum setting process : MH, MHS and ST type are steam set to remove self-tangling effect.

6. Cone winding process : NX, MH, MHS and ST type are re-wound into tapered paper cones. Our tension control by an accurate gauge is being finished at this process.
